The house is clean and decorated! I don't think I have ever been this late getting the house decorated for Christmas, but this has been an unusually busy couple of months. We've been to Hartselle two or three times in the last couple of months, so that has been part of it, and we've been at the ballgames the other weekends.
I typically decorate Thanksgiving weekend, but with the Alabama-Auburn game being on that weekend, it just didn't happen this year. My original plan was to have decorated on the Friday after Thanksgiving, but I ended up having an allergy attack and popping Benadryl like it was candy. Needless to say, between sneezing and the effects of the Benadryl, there was no way I was going to attempt to decorate.
Jess came over yesterday, and she and I went shopping today. Like I said in an earlier post, she picked everything out, but I'll wrap it and put it under the tree. She'll act so surprised when she opens it. I told her that I did have a couple of surprises for her, and she wanted to know what they were. As if I'd tell her. lol
The decorating wasn't the only thing that didn't get done as early as usual. I still have a few things to buy, and I'm not sure when I'll be able to take care of it. With it being the end of the semester, I'll be swamped at school this week, and our bunco party is Tuesday night. We're going to Hartselle on Friday--and some of the things I need to buy are gifts to take there. I guess that means shopping again on Wednesday or Thursday. I need a massage and a glass of wine. :)
That's about it for today. Only five days until Christmas break. I think I can make it...I think I can make it...I think I can make it...

You're counting down until break, and I'm counting all the things I need to get done before break! Every year I vow to start earlier, and every year it comes so fast. A massage sounds heavenly right now!
